- Complete name of the person travelling to Thailand from Sri Lanka
- Date of birth of the individual visiting Thailand
- The person’s home address and telephone number in Sri Lanka
- Your relationship to the person invited to Thailand
- The purpose of the visit to Thailand
- How long the person you are inviting wants to remain in Thailand
- Details on accommodation and living costs in Thailand
- The date the individual you are inviting intends to leave Thailand
Information About The Person Giving Visa Letter in Thailand
- Complete name of the person in Thailand
- Date of birth of the person in Thailand
- Address and contact number in Thailand
- Profession of the individual in Thailand
- Whether you are national of Thailand or Permanent Resident
- A photocopy of a document showing person’s residential status in Thailand. (eg: copy of a birth certificate if the person born in Thailand or has Thai citizenship card.)
- If you are Permanent Resident in Thailand, an evidence of permanent resident status need to be provided.
These details are only a guide. You need to write the letter of invitation yourself. A number of Thai visa offices may require that your letter be notarized by a Notary Public.
For most types of visas for example inviting aging parents, you may be expected to supply further information such as the following:
- Details of your family unit, together with names and dates of birth of your spouse and dependants in addition to the total number of people residing in your household,
- Info about those you might have previously sponsored and whose sponsorship is still in effect,
- A written and signed commitment of your financial support for your parents or grandparents for the entire duration of their stay in Thailand,
- Proof of earnings at a level matching or going above the low-income for the total number of people, including the visiting parents or grandparents, must be included.

Please take note: Be sure to obtain the right Thai visas where required and it is your obligation to get hold of them. In general countries demand passports to be valid for 6 months after the expiry of the visa. NB: Having a visa isn’t going to guarantee a person entry on arrival in Thailand.
